Dallas at New Jersey 7:00 PM ET
The Dallas Stars look to continue their ascent as they vie for their fourth win in five games when they visit the New Jersey Devils on Friday. Dallas rebounded from squandering a two-goal lead in the third period en route to a 6-5 overtime loss to Philadelphia on Saturday by scoring the first five goals in a 6-3 triumph over Vancouver three days later. Captain Jamie Benn continued his scoring surge with his fourth tally in as many contests and has eight points during that span.
Tampa Bay at Winnipeg 8:00 PM ET
Winnipeg coach Paul Maurice demanded more from his players earlier this week against Carolina - and the Jets gave it to him. They'll look to repeat the feat Friday as they entertain Steven Stamkos and the Tampa Bay Lightning. Winnipeg halted a four-game skid with an impressive 3-1 win over the Hurricanes on Tuesday but will have its hands full with a Lightning team that pulled out a 2-1 overtime win over Calgary later that night.
Vancouver at Colorado 9:00 PM ET
After snapping a two-game skid, the Vancouver Canucks look to add to the Colorado Avalanche's mounting troubles when the former Northwest Division rivals meet in Denver on Friday. Nick Bonino scored to ignite his team's three-goal third period as Vancouver skated to a 4-1 triumph over St. Louis on Thursday. Ryan Miller finished with 31 saves against his former team, but Eddie Lack is expected to get the start versus Colorado.
Carolina at Edmonton 9:30 PM ET
The Edmonton Oilers have an excellent opportunity to extend their winning streak to three games Friday as they welcome the winless Carolina Hurricanes to Rexall Place. Edmonton can sympathize with the Hurricanes as it went 0-4-1 over its first five games before edging Tampa Bay 3-2 on Monday. The Oilers defeated Washington by the same score two nights later to improve to 2-1-0 on their season-high seven-game homestand.
Columbus at Anaheim 10:00 PM ET
The Anaheim Ducks attempt to make the Columbus Blue Jackets their latest victims when the clubs face off at Honda Center on Friday. Anaheim enters with a winning streak that reached six games with Wednesday's 4-1 triumph over Buffalo. Corey Perry registered his seventh career hat trick - and second this campaign - while Frederik Andersen posted his 10th straight victory dating to last season as the Ducks improved to 3-0-0 on their five-game homestand.
