March 21, 2019
Arizona at Florida 7:00 PM ET
The Arizona Coyotes answered a sizzling 10-2-0 stretch by dropping back-to-back contests, including the opener of a four-game road trip in the Sunshine State. The Coyotes look to regain their winning ways and strengthen their tenuous hold on the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference when they visit the Florida Panthers on Thursday.
Boston at New Jersey 7:00 PM ET
The Boston Bruins could wind up with the second-best record in the NHL and still finish in second place in the Atlantic Division behind the runaway Tampa Bay Lightning. The Bruins will play six of their last nine away from home as they resume a four-game road trip against the New Jersey Devils on Thursday night.
Tampa Bay at Carolina 7:00 PM ET
The Carolina Hurricanes look to remain unbeaten during their critical five-game homestand and solidify their playoff position when they host the Presidents' Trophy-winning Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday. The Hurricanes recorded a 3-2 shootout triumph over Pittsburgh on Tuesday for their second straight win at home and fourth in five overall games to keep them four points clear for a Eastern Conference wild-card spot and two behind the Penguins for third place in the Metropolitan Division.
NY Islanders at Montreal 7:30 PM ET
The Montreal Canadiens face a killer five-game stretch to end the regular season, but they play three of their next four at home beginning with Thursday night's matchup against the New York Islanders. The Canadiens had lost four of five prior to Tuesday's 3-1 victory in Philadelphia, a mini-swoon that included a 2-1 road loss to the Islanders.
Detroit at St. Louis 8:00 PM ET
The St. Louis Blues are virtually at full strength up front as they continue their quest for a top-three spot in the Central Division Thursday night against the visiting Detroit Red Wings. Top goal scorer Vladimir Tarasenko (28) returned to the lineup Tuesday and Jaden Schwartz recorded a hat trick as the Blues rolled to a 7-2 victory over Edmonton to remain two points up on Dallas for third place in the division.
Pittsburgh at Nashville 8:00 PM ET
Matt Murray has been in net during the Pittsburgh Penguins' last three losses (0-1-2), although he turned aside 73 of 77 shots in the last two. Murray has been even stingier in his last three meetings with the Nashville Predators, to the tune of registering three straight shutouts heading into Thursday's tilt in Music City.
Philadelphia at Chicago 8:30 PM ET
The Chicago Blackhawks continue to cobble together points in their surge toward an unlikely postseason berth while the Philadelphia Flyers appear to have run out of steam in their quest for the playoffs. Fueled by a 5-0-1 mark in their last six contests, the Blackhawks bid to inch closer to the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference on Thursday when they host the fading Flyers.
Colorado at Dallas 8:30 PM ET
The Colorado Avalanche stayed in the mix for a postseason spot by knocking off one division rival and will look to edge closer to the second wild card when they face another Central opponent. Sitting two points behind eighth-place Arizona, the Avalanche seek a third straight win when they visit the Dallas Stars on Thursday night.
Ottawa at Calgary 9:00 PM ET
The Calgary Flames share the Western Conference lead in home wins and certainly have been taking advantage of playing in their own building of late. Calgary attempts to post its fifth straight victory at Scotiabank Saddledome when it hosts the Ottawa Senators on Thursday.
Columbus at Edmonton 9:00 PM ET
With a chance to strengthen their hold on the second wild card in the Eastern Conference, the Columbus Blue Jackets followed a pair of home wins by dropping the first two contests of their four-game road trip. Now holding a one-point edge over ninth-place Montreal, Columbus looks to get back on track at the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday night.
Winnipeg at Vegas 10:00 PM ET
The red-hot Vegas Golden Knights continue to tune up for what they hope is another memorable postseason run as they host the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday. Vegas, which reached the Stanley Cup Final in its inaugural season of 2017-18, has won three straight after Monday's 7-3 victory at San Jose and is 9-1-0 since acquiring Mark Stone at the trade deadline.
San Jose at Los Angeles 10:30 PM ET
The San Jose Sharks' traditional safe haven of SAP Center proved to be treacherous waters during their recent homestand, as the team dropped all three contests to fall three points out of first place in the Pacific Division. The Sharks head south begin a two-game road trip versus the other California clubs, beginning with Thursday's tilt against the Los Angeles Kings.
