All-Star Henrik Lundqvist made 22 saves for his fifth shutout of the season and 40th of his career as the New York Rangers defeated the visiting Winnipeg Jets 3-0 on Tuesday.

Captain Ryan Callahan had a goal and an assist as the Rangers have won two straight heading into the All-Star break and lead the Eastern Conference by two points over Boston.

Lundqvist’s biggest save came six minutes into the third period after a Rangers turnover left Bryan Little all alone in front. Little went to his backhand but Lundqvist shut the door.

Brad Richards scored his 16th goal of the season at 16:22 of the third period after one-timing a pass from Callahan, who forced a turnover deep in the Jets’ zone.

The Rangers held a two-goal lead after 40 minutes with John Mitchell’s fifth goal of the season at 13:22. Mitchell wristed a pass from Michael Del Zotto that slid under the arm of goaltender Ondrej Pavelec.

Callahan opened the scoring at 4:05 of the first period when he smacked in a rebound off Anton Stralman's shot from the point for his 17th goal of the season.

The Rangers have won the first three of four meetings this season, shutting out the Jets in the last two.
