Rockets 131, Knicks 103: James Harden scored 33 points and Chandler Parsons added 31 as host Houston crushed New York.

Former Knicks guard Jeremy Lin scored 13 points against his former team and Omer Asik recorded 18 points and 14 rebounds for the Rockets, who shot 51.7 percent from the field, including 14 of 25 from 3-point range.

Carmelo Anthony scored 37 points but New York could not get any stops in dropping their second game in a row. The Knicks have allowed 86.9 points in their eight wins but have been lit up for 116.7 in their three setbacks.

Houston began to pull away in the second quarter, getting seven points from Parsons and nine from Harden during a 21-7 run to end the half and send the Rockets into the break with a 72-57 edge. Anthony and Raymond Felton each hit a pair of 3-pointers in the first four minutes of the third but Houston continued to respond.

Lin highlighted a 13-0 burst with a 3-pointer and Asik pushed the lead out to 96-73 on a jumper with 4:39 left in the third. Another former Knick, Toney Douglas, hit a 3-pointer to close the third and make it 104-80.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Lin, who entered the game shooting 33.3 percent from the field, went 6-of-12 against his former team. … Harden went 15-of-15 from the free throw line in the first half alone and finished 16-of-16 from the stripe. … Felton, who essentially replaced Lin as the starting point guard in New York, collected 17 points and eight assists.
