KNICKS 100, KINGS 85: The “Linsanity” continued as Jeremy Lin recorded a career-high 13 assists to go with 10 points and five rebounds for New York, which picked up its seventh straight win while sending Sacramento to its third consecutive loss.

Lin focused more on his role as a distributor against the Kings, taking only two shots after the first quarter and finishing 4 of 6 from the field. The Harvard product joined most of the starters on the bench for the fourth quarter.

Landry Fields picked up a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds and Bill Walker scored 14 for New York, which climbed back to .500 at 15-15.

Lin began the game with a traditional three-point play and the Knicks never looked back, taking a 54-36 lead into the half. Fields scored 11 points before the break as the receiving end of several of Lin’s assists.

Sacramento never made a move to get back into the game, falling behind by as much as 28 points in the fourth quarter before New York took its foot off the gas.

Tyreke Evans scored 19 points to lead the Kings.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Carmelo Anthony (groin) sat out for the fifth straight game … DeMarcus Cousins pulled down four rebounds - his lowest total since Jan. 16 … Sacramento shot 37 percent from the floor, including 4 for 18 from 3-point range.
