Carmelo Anthony scored 25 points in his return to the lineup and the New York Knicks snapped a three-game losing streak with a 113-86 romp over the visiting Detroit Pistons on Tuesday night.

Landry Fields scored 16 of his 18 points in the first half as the Knicks won for just the second time in their last 11 games and sent Detroit to its sixth consecutive defeat.

Tyson Chandler and Amar'e Stoudemire added 17 and 15 points, respectively, for New York, which shot a scorching 60.0 percent (42 of 70) for the game.

Greg Monroe had his fifth straight double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds but it was not enough to prevent Detroit from falling to 1-10 on the road.

Anthony had sat out the previous two games with ankle, thumb and wrist injuries, but he immediately energized the Knicks by scoring 10 points in the opening quarter.

New York closed each of the first and second quarters with a 12-4 run to take a 57-45 lead into halftime.

Fields, who was held scoreless in Saturday's loss at Houston, drilled all four of his 3-point attempts in the first half to tie Anthony for the team scoring lead.
